This page lists recipients of my Community Champion Award, highlighting their contributions to making our constituency a better place to live.

My first Community Champion Award goes to Halesowen in Bloom for their outstanding work in beautifying our town.
Their team of volunteers have supplied our streets with floral displays in hanging baskets and planters, encouraging shoppers and visitors over many years.
Their service to our town is truly appreciated.

It was my pleasure to present my community champion award to Andy, Caroline, Mike and Cynthia from Halesowen Lifecentral Church
Their ‘stuff the sleigh’ project collected 5 tons of food for Black Country Foodbank. Their hard work ensured thousands of local residents were fed over the Christmas period.

Monarch’s Mutts is a volunteer-led dog rescue in Halesowen, dedicated to finding loving homes for dogs in need. They provide vital care, from vet treatment to fostering, and fundraise tirelessly to cover costs.

Hawne Halesowen Townswomen’s Guild are an inspiring group whose creativity and kindness brighten our community. Their colourful postbox toppers bring joy across Halesowen, and their dedication to making our streets more vibrant is why they’ve been honoured with the Community Champion Award.

The Earls High School’s The Gambia Project empowers students to make a real difference. Through fundraising and hands-on work, they travel to The Gambia to support local schools and communities — painting classrooms, running craft activities, distributing essential supplies, and helping build new schools.

Friends of Saltwells Nature Reserve are dedicated volunteers who protect and enhance this beautiful green space. From conservation work and litter picking to community events and education, they keep the reserve thriving, making them true Community Champions.

Emily Fereday founded Fereday’s First Response to tackle knife crime and save lives. In months, she’s delivered dozens of bleed-control kits to schools and campaigned for public-access cabinets with life-saving equipment. Her dedication to protecting young people andraising awareness makes her a true Community Champion

It was a pleasure to present Dennis Rose from Chatter and Natter with my Community Champion Award. His dedication to the Cradley Library garden has created a truly special space for everyone to enjoy

A dedicated group of local residents and business owners in Halesowen who take pride in their volunteer work.
The team works tirelessly to ensure Halesowen remains a great place to live, work, and visit.

Stepping Out are a local day care centre for adults with learning difficulties. You can often find them on relaxing walks around town or enjoying lunch at The Grill.
