Full-time roles become available from time to time in Halesowen and in Westminster. All roles are advertised on Work4MP.

We offer one paid summer internship in the office of Alex Ballinger MP each year, providing a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience at the heart of political life.

As an intern, you will:

• Assist with planning and supporting events
• Learn how to manage casework and support constituents
• Monitor media coverage and help brief the MP
• Attend surgeries and meetings as part of your training
• Provide administrative support and handle correspondence
• Conduct research and help draft responses
• Learn how to analyse and interpret data

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone eager to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced political environment.

The role is based in Halesowen at our constituency office. Applications are highly competitive.

We offer a limited number of two-day work experience placements in the office of Alex Ballinger MP. This is a unique chance to gain hands-on insight into the work of an MP, from supporting constituents to shaping policy and engaging with Parliament.

You’ll learn about:

• Casework and community issues
• Parliamentary processes
• Public communication and research

Places are limited and applications are competitive. Please note that work experience placements are normally based in Halesowen at our constituency office.
